KIDS MUSICAL THEATRE CLASS (5-10 Years old)

Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm ( 1 HOUR SINGING AND 1 HOUR DRAMA CLASS).

METHOD

 

Although structured in didactically different courses, the didactic program foresees the study and the deepening of some standard modules necessary for all singers:

​

Train the phono-respiratory system

- Breathing techniques

- Microphone technique

- Anatomy and physiology of the phonatory system

- Posture and physiology applied to movement

- Vocal technique

- Musical theory

- Diction

- Interpretation and stage presence

Ideal for those with little to no singing experience and will take you through a step-by-step approach to singing.

​

Most of the singing in this class is choral work in a group setting. Solo singing in this course is only an option for the teacher if you need to give personal feedback or assess your progress.

 

In this course, you will:

• Be introduced to various exercises to help improve vocal range and develop a secure breathing technique

• Develop body awareness through a focus on posture and alignment.

• Learn how to create a specific breathing technique

• Learn how to achieve a good quality vocal performance while using your voice in a safe and healthy manner

• Allow you to sing alone in a safe and nurturing environment

• Provide you with individual tailored feedback and advice

• Explore a wide range of songs and perform a broad repertoire, including Pop, Jazz, Soul and Musical Theatre.
